There are some people in this world who are called to the sea by some unknown force. Dry land somehow feels unnatural, but out on the water life makes sense. I happen to be one of those people. A native of Long Island, I spent my younger years fishing, boating, collecting anything and everything off the beach, and eating more seafood than is probably good for you. After 11 years of living away from the water I am at a crossroads you could say, amidst the rediscovery of myself and my art. If you want me to paint you a portrait I will do so, but for now that's behind me. Throwing out the idea of what is deemed "comfortable," I have embarked on a freer expression of my work. Through a new series of paintings that evoke one of the greatest loves of my life, I begin my journey back to who I am and what is in my heart. Back to the water.
